@Whitehughes Without having seen the question, and thinking having read the replies, isn’t it reasonable to test that students recognise that parallel vectors are multiples of one another especially the the direction vector that emerges is already in a simple/st form?

@mrsouthernmaths Really like this. What is the thinking behind telling them there ‘two possible solutions’ as opposed to leaving it more open but still providing all the cards? I count four possible solutions if you don’t discount option of placing P(A’) or P(B’) on the first branch of the tree.
