I think we spend far too much time with "Politician X should do...!" or "Politician Y said...!".

Once we understand they are funded through the initiation of force against those who peacefully withhold payment to them, it all becomes quite simple after that.

If a mugger points a gun at a group of people and takes a good chunk of their money from their wallets and purses, does that group of people bicker with each other how much the mugger took, where the mugger spent it, and file paperwork with the mugger to get some of the money back?

We don't. All that matters is we were threatened and our property was stolen.

What happens after that matters not.

Once we embrace this, our current world looks so bizarre.

The Cheltenham Badlands north of Brampton is no longer an enjoyable destination for regular Canadians. Many people sneak in by parking in the disabled spots and even on the sidewalks to avoid admission. Garbage receptacles and toilets can’t keep up with the influx of gate crashers. Trails are full of obnoxiously loud groups of people and litter. Another once great spot ruined.

Albertains have literally no say in any federal election - their vote is meaningless. Nothing but a token after the election has already been decided.

They literally get no say in the federal leadership of Canada.

And when a vote actually could shape their future, they voted for more of the same meaninglessness. They would have put themselves in a position of negotiating power. For the first time ever, they would have had a say in how they're treated and been able to push back on the blatant mistreatment they endlessly endure.
