PSA: @TencentGlobal is aggressively scraping the Internet to build yet another AI slop chatbot, DDoSing many websites in the process.

We've found that, as of last week, their scraping bots can now solve Cloudflare challenges and behave like real users while ignoring robots.txt. In the last 24 hours alone, our website received more than 3 million successful requests from Tencent bot IP addresses, plus another 1 million that were blocked by Cloudflare challenges.

These recurring DDoS attacks from Tencent have been going on for over a year, and we have been constantly adjusting our firewall rules to filter them while trying not to impact Tencent's real users. Because that is no longer possible, we're now fully blocking Tencent IP addresses, starting with ASN 132203. We recommend other sysadmins do the same.

Other ASNs displaying similar abusive behaviour will also be fully blocked from our services.

We'd also like to thank @Cloudflare for sponsoring us with Project Alexandria as of 2025, giving our sysadmin the tools to keep RPCS3's online services running without service disruptions.

作为一个在中国时对墙深恶痛绝的人，我肯定反对政府用 AI 建立更强大的系统。（我不仅仅反对中国这样做，我同样反对 Palantir 在美国��的某些事情，支持 Anthropic 在合同上禁止国防部实施大规模监控。）

当然，在意识形态上支持并不意味着我觉得「反中国 AI」这件事情有出路。就算能够 100% 阻止中国购买美国显卡和蒸馏美国模型，多花几年时间中国依然能把 AI 做得足够好，然后把上述系统做出来。

在政治任务上，中国不需要全球领先的 AI，够用就好。就算闭关锁国，中国依然可以用几年时间把网格员和水军全蒸馏了，到时候在监控系统上最了解你的是 AI，在 Twitter 上跟你吵架的小粉红也是 AI。这黑镜未来一定会变成现实。

I do not think the scale of this story has fully sunk in yet, and this tweet actually understates it. UK border patrol and immigration officers with access to government databases were working for Chinese intelligence as part of a shadow policing operation inside the UK, tracking, surveilling, intimidating, and even breaking into the homes of Chinese dissidents. And those are just the ones who were caught. Now think about all the ones who have not been caught, as well as all the unofficial Chinese police stations and covert influence networks operating not just in the UK, but across Australia, Canada, the US, and elsewhere. When people living in Western countries can no longer act freely because of Chinese state thuggery operating on Western soil, it is long past time to respond decisively.

其實中國公權力機構所做的很多事，真的就沒有被第三方監督和驗證的可能性。

看到這個新聞後，一直在想22年白紙運動的那兩天，上海很多派出所都對抗議者有��裸檢（當時很多朋友互相交流也確認過，無論男女都被命令脫光所有衣服檢查）。

但那兩天聽警察聊天又提到，全上海幾乎所有派出所都塞滿了抗議者。試問，在這種超大型的突發事件裡，他們逮捕的抗議者人數遠遠超過整個城市的公安系統載荷，那在這樣的情境裡，對抗議者挨個、單獨實施消耗時間的裸檢的意義究竟在哪裡？

難道是為了滿足那些執法者畸形的權力慾和施虐慾？還是為了通過性屈辱和身體屈辱來震攝第一次參與反抗的人們？

再加上後來，眼睜睜看著好幾個朋友都被這樣的拘捕過程留下了長期的心理創傷，除了裸檢和直接的毆打、辱罵，還包括警察肆無忌憚地瀏覽對方手機相冊、對對方的聊天記錄評頭論足。我到現在都忘不了那些男警察吊兒郎當地審問我每條個人隱私時那種恃強凌弱的眼神，他們每句話都像在說「我就是可以為所欲為」。

我不知道到底還有什麼是他們幹不出來的事。他們像吃人的動物。
