Holly Springs baseball is returning to a state championship series for the first time since 2011, when Carlos Rodon played for the Golden Hawks.

The Hawks came back from down 5-0 to Cardinal Gibbons in Game 2 to win it 8-6 and sweep the Crusaders in the 7A East regional final.
