At least he's a striker and he's doing his job pretty well. He scored 50 goals but hardly any of his goals were link ups from Vini or any wingers. The only person in that team that really understands the style of Mbappé’s play is Arda Guler, Providing most of the assist. A football team often builds its tactical system around a central striker because that player serves as the main goal threat and the focal point for the rest of the team.
This is exactly what Vini and Mbappé should be doing.
There's no need for Vini to keep running to the ends of the field before he could finally cross the ball to Mbappe and there's no need for Mbappé to cut in a player or do the step over. This is another way to link up.
Mbappé is simply just doing what he does best, providing goals and helping the team win, what other way is Mbappé causing more harm to the team? If everyone could play their given role well collectively we'll win a trophy, you can't blame him for the team bad performance, he's scoring and winning us the game, what else do you want from him?
With Carlo Espi in the team, I feel Endrick will still have lesser playing time.
As it stands, Brahim Diaz is a sure starter at RW and when Rodrygo is back it will more difficult for him to start.
Tchouaméni came in the 79th minute of the game and it felt like he wasn't there at all.
Can someone tell me what this guy add to this team, what does he really do? I know what a DM does but this guy doesn't really do anything. You can never tell me he's Casemiro's replacement.
