The frightening part is that if General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi did not say anything on live television, everything would have continued as business as usual. Those in power would have tried to silence him, destroy his credibility and reputation. Knowing how easily South Africans can be swayed, many would have believed every negative thing the media said about him.
