Good morning, Uganda.

Yesterday marked another major milestone in Uganda’s science, technology, innovation, and industrialisation journey.

Hon. Eng. Jonard Asiimwe, Minister in the Office of the President for Science, Technology and Innovation, officially handed over a fully electric 42-seater Kayoola EVS and a DC charging station to Busitema University.

This makes Busitema University the second university in Uganda, after Makerere University, to own a locally manufactured electric bus.

A strong vote of confidence in Uganda’s homegrown innovation and a bold step towards clean mobility, sustainable transport, and industrial transformation.
