Promise made, promise delivered. The £2 bus fare cap is now live in Glasgow and Strathclyde.
From Ayr or Greenock to Glasgow, you now save around £8 per journey.
We are cutting the cost of living and this is just the start.
Suspended after allegations of drunken cavorting with officers at a nuclear submarine base following news her husband had been arrested over allegations of spying, and now reinstated by Labour without having faced one single question from BBC Scotland.
Here's an example of how BBC Scotland manipulates stories to satisfy a political agenda.
The top story on BritNat Breakfast this morning was about a rent increase on a Glasgow drug charity. The body that increased the rent was City Property which is an arms length organisation and legally separate from the council.
Presenter Laura Maciver begins manipulating the story by replacing the organisation name 'City Property' with the phrase 'Glasgow City Council owned landlord'. The intention of using this mangled phrase is to make the *council* the focus of the story instead of City Property.
The is confirmed when Lisa Summers does the same. Refusing to use the name of the actual organisation and instead uses the phrase 'council owned landlord'.
The story is being politicised. The politicisation increases when Lisa Summers cites Scotland's high drug related death rate. She then introduces the Scottish Govt into the story. Note, Summers doesn't mention that the death rate is falling.
A rent increase by City Property is now *not* about the actual organisation that made the decision but the SNP run council, the Scottish Govt and drug deaths. Laura Maciver ends the item citing a request to the council for comment.
City Property is a completely separate legal entity from the council. Yes, it is owned by the council having been set up by the previous Labour administration, but It, and it alone made the decision to increase the rent. BBC Scotland has manipulated and politicised the story.
Not convinced? Network Rail is a separate legal entity owned by the UK Govt. When was the last time you heard a BBC reporter describe it as the 'UK Govt owned railway operator' after rail disasters or breakdowns? Never. It's always just Network Rail.
The @BMA vote on charging for #GP appointments applies in #England, not #Scotland, but people right across the UK need to be aware of what is happening and the principle at stake!

@conor_matchett As a long time member of @theSNP I am angry with Murrell but that is all. It took Police Scotland 4 years to get the guy to trial. He was obviously good at being a crook. This is an internal SNP matter, the rest is just British Anglo State froth & mischief making.
Radio Scotland Breakfast interviewed the Chair of McGills buses about the SNP's £2 fare cap. He constantly criticised the party and used the word "gimmick". Laura Maciver forgot to tell listeners that McGill's owners donated £300,000 to Sarwar's Holyrood campaign. Oops.
Glenn Campbell on Reporting Scotland described the SNP plan to cap the price of essential food items as "controversial". Why is this significant? BBC Scotland prefixes any and all SNP policies with this word when setting them up for political attacks. Watch this.
At PMQs, Starmer just said, “oil and gas are coming out of the North Sea 24/7, and will do for many years to come” ! ! !
Let’s remember the “it’s running out” scam that the unionists ran in 2014.
They lied to the Scottish people ! !
Shock as BBC UK use annual data to reveal that NHS Scotland did nearly twice as many treatments per head, as NHS England in 2024 https://t.co/O1F2jgJCNO
Another achievement by #NHS staff putting #PatientSafety front and central, working with the #ScottishPatientSafetyProgram which cut hospital mortality within the first few years.
I remember well its introduction in operating theatres in 2007.
For those unionists who think we’re better together and have a ferry fixation, HS2 will not be completed before the next Holyrood elections.
And it won’t go where it was supposed to. Nor will it be high speed.
And will cost 3 ferries per mile.
Every mile.
Three countries, three nationalist administrations, today we witnessed the demise of the so called UK. What a time to be alive! The Celtic Nations will never be part of Farage's English fascism.
Given the extent of Reform's gains in England it's even more apparent now that Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland need to be out of the UK in less than three years.
I have contacted SNP leader John Swinney and Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth to congratulate them on their enormous mandates.
For the first time ever, there could be three pro-independence First Ministers across these islands.
More and more people are looking towards a future beyond the constraints of the Union.
I look forward to continuing to build the friendship between the people of our nations, and to working closely with both John and Rhun in the time ahead.
Why are Scots voting for English Parties? They are not Scottish never were. The only two are SNP and Greens . Why would anyone do that ? I have never seen any other country in the world vote for its neighbour parties. Shame of Scotland, its embaressing. #VoteSNP 🏴
