@richmonddixon60 It is the end game of Margaret Thatchers policies. Privatisation was meant to provide more choice, and drive down prices. In reality British assets are now often foreign owned and have become huge conglomerate cartels. Housing is all about profit too and buy to let.

@johnredwood John you are mostly right but sadly the free market has failed. Competition has reduced in the last 20 years and many companies are not actually British owned.

@johnredwood Normally John I would agree with you but unless something is done on energy there will be riots on a scale that will make poll tax look like a tea party. The regulator & BOE have failed & the energy firms are driving inflation wiping out pensions, savings, investments & salaries.
