What the heck is going on !!!!....men in grey suits (treasury officials) meeting with Airport executives... any lobbying should be done in full view of the electorate through our MPs, this back door lobbying leaves a lot to be desired, could lead to all sorts of accusations.

Point-to-point is the way forward. But of course this does not suit Heathrow who rely on passenger through-put in the terminals to increase their profits. Sustainable aviation fuel is another contentiuous point. look on her face when the environment is mentioned, says it all.

Why do we place so much importance on Heathrow being a hub airport, it draws in more transit passengers and freight which then passes to other parts of the country. Other airports can handle long haul just as well with no need to stransit to other destinations.

The government should re-instate the water industry back into public ownership, its a failed industry, it should be declared bankrupt and recievers called in, and placed by the government into special measures.

Thames Water CEO should be shown the door, in any commercially run industry he would have been sacked long ago. Thames water was handed over by the government debt free, now its £15 billion in dept, most if not all the money went to shareholders and huge salaries,

Thames Water is handing its new boss an annual salary worth £850,000, on top of £102,000 in yearly pension payments, and a £15,000 car allowance. He is also eligible for an annual bonus worth up to 156% of his salary – or £1.3m – that could swell his total pay to £2.3m.1...nice!
