Kirka — Highgate Cemetery
A set-piece fantasy portrait created on location with daylight, flash and reflectors. Kirka designed the clothes and created the hair, make-up and character herself.
Part portrait, part fashion, part theatre.

I’m looking for local men with beards for Appledore Beards, a new portrait project by Ray Smith.
Portraits can be taken in my studio or on location in and around Appledore.
If you’ve got a beard with character — and a face to match — get in touch: [email protected]
I’ve bought myself a Mamiya C220 — a camera I used and loved when I first started taking photographs. Now with 80mm and 180mm lenses, plus an eye-level finder coming from Japan. Slower, more considered photography. Looking forward to sharing new pictures soon.
Rose After Dark
Hard colour, deep shadow and a flash of glamour in the garden. A rose transformed into something theatrical, seductive and slightly dangerous.
#lumix
Japanese anemones arrive just as many summer flowers begin to fade. Their delicate pink or white blooms thrive in partial shade, flower into autumn and bring a final burst of colour to the garden.
