Old Faithful, Yellowstone National Park
Old Faithful has been erupting every 90 minutes (roughly) since it was first descovered during the Washburn Expedition of 1870. The English word geyser derives from Geysir. The name Geysir itself is derived from the Icelandic verb geysa.

Sumo wrestling Championship, Fukuoka Japan
Sumo wrestling is around 1500 years old!
These guys are huge and fast on their feet. So much that it was very challenging to get a clear photo from my seat. While waiting outside, some of the wrestlers came walking by me and these guys was easily 6' or taller and probably weighed 350 lbs or more. It was such a cool experience to see live! #japan #japanese #sumo #sumowrestlers #Fukuoka #sport
Gifu Castle, Gifu Japan
Gifu Castle has a very long history dating back to 1200AD. It has been rebuilt a number of times, once due to poor condition, another time after it was destroyed by fire. This current castle if built using more modern materials like steel and concrete which was done around 1950. The castle has seen several different owners with one of the last being Oda Nobunaga. He is famous as the first "Great Unifier" of Japan, who initiated the end of the chaotic Sengoku period.
The Hiroshima bombed building, commonly known as the Atomic Bomb Dome or Genbaku Dome, is the ruins of the former Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. This is the only building left from the bombing and was spare as a reminder of that day in hopes of avoiding another nuclear bombing.
