Honestly I was so caught up organizing I barely got to sit and soak it all in. But seeing how it went? It was worth every bit of it.
Thank you to every speaker, panelist & attendee. You made this happen.

TechFest '26 is a wrap and I'm still smiling.
NACOSS NOVA hosted a two-day event that proved tech is SO much bigger than web dev and software. Speakers like Imam Abubakar (Founder, SQALEUP INC), VR Developer Awodi Abdulmujeeb Ayomide and more came through and delivered.
We even made the Nigerian Tribune. 🗞️

Day 7 Review day.
I had a packed day today. Classes, met my project supervisor, shot some videos and more. Life does not pause for side projects.
So instead of pushing forward I stepped back and did a full sweep of everything I covered in Week 1:
Android Studio setup, Kotlin fundamentals, a bit of Java for context, InputMethodService, OOP in Kotlin, Coroutines, and FastAPI.
No new concepts, I am just making sure the foundation is solid before Week 2 starts and the actual building begins.
Day 6 FastAPI
Read the FastAPI documentation today and honestly it was one of the better reads I have had this week. Also watched a video but learned more from the doc this time.
I think I am slowly becoming a docs person...😂😂
Fun fact: The man who built FastAPI was an elementary school dropout he built one of the most widely used Python frameworks in the world. Let that sink in.
MeliBoard will use FastAPI as the bridge between the Android keyboard and the Gemini AI. Text goes in, improved text comes
