Hope that we're all doing well today and the weekend was refreshing and you had good times with fam and pals 💙 This announcement is going to be hefty - I'm not sure if I'll need to add a 2nd post as well, but I'll try to squeeze it into a single one. MYSTCL Meme Action Group has been hard at work, and over the weekend we have been discussing the launch and I've start by diving into this below first up. Without further ado, let's do it 🌈 Memecoin Launch Over this past weekend, the Action Group has been discussing the strategy for the first launch on Whirl - our very own memecurrency. The memecoin's launch is very important in and of itself. But it's also important within the context of the trajectory the launchpad will have. We plan to make the memecoin's launch truly HUGE because this gives the launchpad a glowing track record out of the gate, and it hugely benefits $MYST and Pixels holders too. It's good for all areas of our project and the MYSTCL brand as a whole. It's because of this that we'll be making a choice that took some time to assess, but now is clearly the best move and one we're very excited about - the MYSTCL memecoin's launch will be the moved to the world's first Memecoin conference, Memecon, on 28 - 30 May so that it can be the first ever memecoin launched at a memecoin conference! Omega is a guest speaker at Memecon and we plan to use the energy of the event to knock the memecoin launch into 12th gear 🚀 As well as having a huge degen platform to live-launch the memecoin from, this gives us extra time to ramp up hype and elevate the profile of the launch throughout Base and beyond. Which dovetails well into the next point.. Marketing We finished up a call with a marketing agency today that will be managing our strategy ongoing for marketing all areas of the project, starting with managing exposure for the memecoin launch. We have spoken with other providers who to be frank I haven't been blown away with. This agency has over 300 marketing professionals working across 6 offices in different continents around the world, and are OGs in the crypto space that have worked with very big names. Sometimes it takes more time to find true quality, often it's worth doing that - as has been the case here. We wanted to be certain about the path forwards and now will be accelerating the process, as they're aware we only have a couple of short weeks until Memecon. Their mandate from us is to build and execute a strategy that blows up the hype around the MYSTCL memecoin at Memecon. We'll be working with their team on a daily basis to ensure this is exactly what happens. Snapshots and Extra Allocation The next logical question is what happens now with locking and snapshots for $MYST and Pixels. Everything will proceed as before, except that the period of snapshotting will be extended until Memecon. Existing locks will need to be relocked until the launch - and all snapshots will contribute to allocation calculation. Because of this increased locking time, we will also be increasing the allocation of the memecoin going to MYSTCLs as a result ❤️ Tokenomics for the memecoin and some other info about it will be released on Thursday 16th May, and to increase the information flow to the community in line with the increased activity between now and Memecon, I'll be doing announcements twice a week on Monday's and Thursdays from now until launch 🤜🏽 🤛🏽 Questions, AMA, Discussions For any holders of MYSTCLs, I'll be running an AMA starting after this announcement is posted in each of the private holder channels.
