I thought I lost all my childhood consoles. I didn't.
We had to move suddenly in the past and it was chaotic, frustrating and happened so fast. Despite that, my mother silently had them all stored for all these years and I had no clue. "Do you have any of the consoles or games from when I was younger? I doubt we were able to take anything." And she casually replied, "Yeah I think I have some, come by and see what I have." And saw I did.
My Original PS1, PS2, Xbox360, Xbone and Wii. It gets better.
The memory cards, the controllers and every game. All of them. In pristine condition. It's all there. I just need to make the space, grab them all and get a CRT/TV that can run it natively. There isn't anything missing. There's not even much dust on it.
I thought it was all lost. Turns out they were in air-tight tubs for decades. Thank you for giving me childhood a second time and the happy tears, mom. They are the only existing physical artifacts of the sunnier days and I have that warmth all to myself for the rest of time.
