Our young kings taking ownership of their learning journeys can largely be attributed to our teacher’s consistency in facilitating 1:1 student led conferences.

Parent engagement is key when it comes to disruption. Our first parent cafe of the school year was a success! The theme of this cafe was “Calm, Cool, and Connected: Building Resilience for Stress-Free parenting.”

Accepting the Educational Champion of the Year Award on behalf of @RBHSMonarchs at the @thenexxt1academy Celebration of Excellence Gala. I also had the pleasure of standing beside two of our young kings who received an award for their resilience and scholarship money.
Chancellor Ferebee awarded championship rings to the schools who have exceeded growth in testing, SEL data, and significant positive change in school culture. I am proud of the growth that our staff has worked to see manifested each day in our young kings!

I graduated my first full cohort as a principal this year. This group of young kings and I took a huge step out on faith in 2020 and we are all better off from it. It has truly been a journey, but we can say that we are pioneers and innovators of urban education!
