I’m not sure how this hasn’t been implemented yet..

Roblox Studio needs a way to LIMIT permissions for developers in teamcreate.

I can’t give a builder access to the game without giving them access full access to all the scripts in the game.

My suggestion would be to have advanced permissions that limit which services the developer can access (Workspace, ReplicatedStorage, ServerStorage)

It could be like the group roleset permissions page with checkmarks for each service they have access to

Before working on other things this should be a #1 priority. What do you guys think?

Being a scripter and waking up to a pay decrease after 14 days of work in a row..

Just another day as a Roblox developer 🤦‍♂️

You’ll never believe what happened to me while working as a Scripter for a 250,000 member Roblox military roleplay group called UBA (Upsetioz British Army)

I worked 60 days straight, clocking 8-12 hours on systems that they micromanaged and wanted 10+ changes per task, ignored my suggestions to speed things up, and blamed me for the time it was taking to complete.

They wanted quality > quantity but were upset that they had to pay for it

Starting for the first two weeks, things were good. I made $80/day, sometimes more with bonus if they needed the work done that day.

After 2 weeks I experienced the first red flag. All of my hard work and overtime + full commitment to their project ultimately lead to one thing I never expected.. a pay decrease

Because I’m a reasonable person and willing to accept that my work is a bit slower than kids using AI agents, I ultimately let them talk me into working for $50/day for the same amount of effort and dedication to their group because I valued the consistency. (Big mistake)

After another 6 weeks I was in a really bad position because I had hoped to get a pay increase by then and wasn’t making enough to pay my bills + focusing too much time on their game for too little pay.

They try to psychologically manipulate you into believing that your work is worth less so they can ask for lower prices, and I bet it works on the kids I saw which they target to work for them illegally for slave wages earned in Robux.

After notifying the owner that I would be taking some time off because I need a break to recover for a week, I was constantly asked if I can get started before the week ended.

Upon saying I needed a break, I was forced to do a test session the next day. During the session, the owner started falsely claiming things were only half done and discrediting my work when he’s not a trained tester. Nothing he said helped fix anything.

The truth is that it was over 90% complete but he has no technical expertise. I was ironing out the complex code that they wanted for who gets to see the script based on who can chat with others and that’s still something that’s new to the platform.

I found out the bad news that I was replaced because I didn’t come back from my break early.

I have to pay my bills so I offered to help them setup QA department since it was a big factor in me not being able to get things tested properly.

After a month of saying they were going to have me get started on that, I told them the price would be raising if they don’t lock in soon- not even in a disrespectful way. Just wanted to make sure they were serious.

Instead of locking in as I hoped they would, I get told I’m getting “permanently off-boarded” and that they will not be hiring me again for any reason and blocked

I found an old group messsge we had so I sent them a message apologizing for the confusion and said they can make the payment if they want to still. They ultimately dedicated to send it then, but it never would have if I wasn’t the bigger person and applogize after I did nothing wrong.

They paid 30k robux and made it very clear that they did not want to pay me to maintain it or manage it and they wanted me to do it for free.

I said I could do it for $35 a week and they refused and said they’d pay $35 one more time in a few days but I’d already been working unpaid for days.

I did everything I could to step up, trying to prove that I can help grow and manage their team- but I was always held back by 2 micro-managers in charge of the group who had no technical expertise.

They didn’t believe it was possible to put 12 hour days in based on my output (I’m not an AI) but I was able to do those hours because that’s how motivated I was to have a long term opportunity and “career.”

I found out the hard way that would not be the case.

Today I officially cut ties. After paying for 6+ weeks all of a sudden they “don’t have the money anymore” and are a “small studio”

Can somebody tell me why it costs 80 ROBUX to upload a classic t-shirt now???

I made this t-shirt for free for someone and dont expect to make any profit off of it

For the past 19 years I've been on the platform it was always free to upload a t-shirt

I've even been keeping up with updates lately but somehow things like that slip through and didn't even realize what changed until I experienced it myself

I may just send them the imgur link and have them deal with the upload fee but wow I was not expecting that...

What would you do? Pay the fee and take the L? Or have the client cover the upload fee?

100 Free game thumbnails every day is pretty crazy.. EPIC

Roblox just released a game thumbnail generator with up to 100 prompts EVERY DAY for completely free!

Back in the day we had to pay big money for thumbnails and icons, is this a step in the right direction or contributing to slop on the platform?

Although if everyone has a super flashy thumbnail for their game, how will people distinguish the higher quality ones from the others?

An interesting prediction I have about this is that theres a lot of people who dont use it because it ultimately gets their game a worse rating.

Why you ask? Because the easier it is to generate a thumbnail based on imagination or creativity- and less on real game assets, in the eyes of the player it increases the expectation level they have for the game and downvote even more if it doesn't meet it.

Make sure that you're only putting content in the thumbnail that is actually in the game, otherwise you risk that occurring for you and getting a worse rating just because people feel like they got lied to.
