Travel and competition sucks. Going to another country is obviously challenging. Losing sucks. This is called home team advantage, Germans were not at home.
What really sucks is not accepting the loss, stuff happens and looking for excuses and blaming others. If it was so terrible maybe they should have channeled that frustration and anger in the game. Or maybe they just aren’t good enough to overcome the hand they were dealt.
Still have to process the crude purchased at high rates. Much of which is still in transit. That's not days or a week or two away from hitting the pumps.
Accounting 101 FIFO- First in, first out inventory method. Meaning the oldest product available is what gets sold to the market now. Jacking around with that practice causes a lot of IRS confusion and unwanted "interest".
They are not obligated...but I do agree the sooner, the better, and it might be good for all in the long run if the Oil companies choose to pocket a few less nickels and dimes to help bring prices down sooner.
Sure thing, I'll comfort the stranger, that's important to show you as an individual and as a group, caring.
Now, if the stranger tells me how it's gonna be and what "I" am expected to do .... I won't be rude or mean, but the hell if "I" am gonna lift a finger to help a stranger on their terms that conflict with mine. I owe them nothing, and they seem to expect everything they want. That's a conflict.
@ConceptualJames Philosophy specifically the critique of modern philosophy became a philosophy of its own. The postmodern philosophy, focus on critique rather than discovering truth, certitude based on reality.
And here we are,
We may all go out to love and serve the world in peace, after Mass. But there is a whole world of hurt patiently lying in wait. To trip us up and destroy us.
Only an improperly ordered thinking (a fool) would not desire assistance in that struggle or turn against it. Not to mention that thinking that prayer promotes paranoia rather than keeping an awareness present of the real dangers of the world.
Not mine, lol, but I did have a friend wish her dual-parent mother happy Father's Day.
My message (4 generations 30 years apart)
We all appreciate being recognized as Fathers on Fathers on Father's Day.
As man, a father, that recognition does not belong to me. It belongs to My Father, His Father, and my children. They are the ones who have inspired, guided, and taught me on the journey of Fatherhood. However imperfect my journey may be, the lessons and love of those fathers preceding are the absolute foundation, truth to move forward and build upon.
Happy Father's Day!
Eastern Meditation practices. Intention is good, but the yogurt Llama implications are tough to swallow.
Guess the response is we do not let go of anything; it can only be given away. Unspecified giving away defaults to 'Not God'.
As Catholics, we let go of these things by giving them to God. Thus, removing the burden, barriers and moving closer to being unrestricted by them in his presence.
ROTFFL .... ROTFFL again
This shouldn't be a surprise. I am a bit stunned, though, by the arrogance of the Iranian regime to do 'that' at this moment in time. Get that far? To in-person meetings and pull this chit? They look like whiny women in a state of perpetual victimhood.
Seems that is their ploy tho, Victimhood. More important is gaining the support of the victims, by others to maintain their beliefs and justify actions.
OH wait?!!! That seems kinda Woke LOL
Good technique to know. The coping foot on a jigsaw can be a great thing.
But, a painter makes what a carpenter ain't ...and he ain't all that great. Needs caulk to make it look like finely fitted joinery. It'll pass for paint grade, but would be an epic fail on stain grade trim.
Or maybe he's working toward peace and sees that we have supported them to the nth degree and expects some reciprocation. They are going rogue-freelancing when they need to follow our lead and take this process as far as it can go. Calling a spade a spade, Israel is getting in the way, acting contrary to what should be done.
There will be some sort of peace relatively in a short time. If not, Israel can start going scorched earth if this falls apart, in earnest.
"Stare at a wall"
No human male will stare at a wall for 9 hours. He would much more likely spend all the time and effort given to the intersuck finding ways and networking to get back on the intersuck.
The majority know of nothing else, let alone with the perceived rewards, than the digital world. The real world is difficult and takes much more effort.
Do not believe this will work out as intended.
Time will tell if the regime essentially surrenders. The deal and approach seem based on the assumption that it will behave that way.
However, this is Trump overseeing this deal. There is a world of hurt hanging over thier heads. IF (more likely when) they step out of line or run his patience out, there will be a due and just reckoning. One that even the progressively liberal blind can see is proper. OK, magical thinking on my part, but many more people will accept a strong military response when the conditions are right/obvious.
Is the gist of the article/s similar to this analogy of what he speaks to, compared to a Tradesman and his tools?
Western civilization is as a tradesman who values unblemished tools as important or more important than enduring the wear and tear that degrades those qualities. Holding that as a sign (signal value) of skill and competence.
Disregarding the fact that the real proof of skill is the wear and tear on the tools. And those tools not mastered and implemented build nothing.
Iran says it will close the straight. For all practical purposes an act against all international conventions. Hostility against all shipping through that area. In the past that would be an act worthy of military action or even war.
Just more blow hard bs from them most likely. But let’s see if they actually take real action. Changes the justifiability claim to actions against them, if they do.
@ConceptualJames Personally, I do not believe it is much different from what it has been in the past.
What is different? People are behaving, talking, and thinking as people do in bars, under the (an) influence.
Act accordingly
@Rach4Patriarchy If Anybody ever said that about my Mother?
OOFFF smh. No matter where one stands on the dogmatic side with Mary .... don't dis the mother of your savior. Suppose these christians should consider how forgiving her son is, but there might be a just correction to that thunking; due.
Communism is a religion (replacing a Godhead with mans head) ; flipping faiths to a different religion is more affected by society than the actual tenets of the religion.
It's always easier to get "free" stuff or more good stuff with less effort than to wait for a reward. Especially when the economic conditions are less that idealisitic.
Add Bolsheviks pushing, there is an easier way, many religious, uniform across all religions, take the easy way and compromise their spiritual views. The very views that created a stable society through commonality of beliefs and a strict(er) self guiding moral order of right and wrong.
