All VR headset are displays, with sensors tracking the position of the user, this is no different between each PSVR headset, PSVR2 doesn't need to use the new camera system for old PSVR1 games.

It can just work in legacy mode, it's like running different TVs.

@PlayStation there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to use my PSVR1 games on PSVR2, allow the old camera system to be used in legacy PSVR1 mode, I cannot believe you are going to prevent PSVR2 being backwards compatible, there's no technical reason for it!

@Tidux It's not expected at all, there's no reason for this, PS5 can connect to PSVR1, the camera can be hooked up to the console, a headset is just a display with sensors, PSVR2 could output PSVR1 games if Sony wanted it to, this is BS!

Playing in Fidelity Mode on my PS5 and despite being 30FPS is feels so fluid.
