@YosefJD Fully agree. Older fans likely lean towards Marshall, more recent grads Coastal, and current students JMU. It’s just a generational change that happens, especially with all of the realignment stuff in recent years

@AppFanatic04 Is that not a fair assessment though? Given JMU have excelled more in FB and BB over the last few years, it naturally makes sense to have more hype. There’s also the regional effect of having another team regionally within Appalachia that helps, as well

@AppFanatic04 I’ll build on this by saying that I entirely understand Coastal was a top-tier rival. The games from 2019-2021 were my first mainstream intro to App State while I began exploring college options.

That said, I do believe JMU is more important to most current students.
