@FOXSports@IndyCarOnFOX not the first time this has been said but why in the actual f*** can we not get proper (UNRUSHED) pre & post race coverage like a proper sport?
YOU bought an ownership stake in IndyCar. YOU spent millions of your money to buy into this series
So.....
@wearetherace Sorry Audi you ain’t the big dog at the table. F1 does not need you. If you don’t like the regs, get the f*** out. Go back to WEC & see if they’ll bend the knee to you
That’s what actually needs to be said to them but Stefano Domenicali lacks the backbone.
acknowledge a driver is old and past his prime.
People jumped my case when I said that about TK almost 10yrs ago (which he was & his lack of results in the 10 car proved it beyond any doubt) It’s not hating, it’s being honest
I guess some podcast was putting down Will Power and Scott Dixon
I think people are missing the fine line here where two things are true
Both still fantastic drivers that are absolutely capable of winning more races. At the same time both are past their prime
That’s not…..
disrespect. It’s reality. It also speaks to both of their greatness that despite being past their prime they remain competitive & capable of winning when that’s not the case for 99% of drivers
I don’t know why it’s such a crime in the IndyCar fan base specifically to simply….
If IndyCar avoided every single big event and schedule inconvenience they would have a 10 race schedule (which I’m sure would please the teams since the 17-18 race schedule is so brutal 🙄 )
“We can’t race a certain week because kids will be out of school and people go on vacation”
Yeah I wouldn’t want my name out there either if I said something so God damned stupid (Mark Miles)
Hinch is a better man than me I would have challenged that nonsense immediately
dodge every event in America because they’re afraid to race the same weekend. Stop it
It’s utter bulls***
If there’s one thing that should be avoided it’s NFL Sundays. Le Mans/Sebing due to crossover but everything else, sorry our business doesn’t stop for you. Business goes on
IndyCar
- has to avoid the Masters
- has to avoid March Madness Rd1
- has to avoid Sebring / Le Mans
- has to avoid NFL
- has to avoid NBA finals
- has to race “before people go on vacation”
At some point this shit needs to stop. We got a series to run. Run it. Can’t duck &…
@rockylover227@Hinchtown It’s all down to Chevrolet. They want their race in front of HQ and doing it on NASCAR weekend (as you alluded to) would be bad for business
This “summer vacation crowd” stuff is complete and utter horse crap
So let me get this straight, and im not shooting the messenger @Hinchtown , Detroit has to be specifically the week after Indy because.........kids are still in school & leave for summer the week after?
But yet Nascar is racing in Michigan next week. Hmm.
That is such a.....
@GatorTapeGirl If we went down the rabbit hole of activities going on that can draw away from a race we’d have no races. At some point you need to run your business and let the chips fall
@DreamyZackRacin So does majority of the fan base but the owners are too worried about crash bills and Chevy loves their crappy street circuit in front of HQ
Fox could make 1-2 calls and make it happen
Fans word is the least important in IndyCar. Always got to make sure the owners are coddled
@GatorTapeGirl It would be 2 weeks after Indy with the NASCAR weekend. My suggestion is Gateway right after Indy, then Michigan, then a break
Fox I’m sure could make it happen. The problem is getting Chevy to buy in. They like their street circuit in front of HQ
@GatorTapeGirl Also for a racing series to use “Summer Vacations” as an excuse to not race is absolutely laughable. Summer is the perfect season for racing no interference from NFL or NBA
@Hendrixis6od They have these things called cars that transport people to destinations. I’m sure the people of Michigan can manage (as they will this Sunday when NASCAR comes to town)
Guess they don’t have an issue interrupting peoples “summer vacations”
