Today is the anniversary of the consecration of our parish church, 22 May 1902. This is the oldest picture we have, from 1921. Please pray for the souls of the many benefactors who generously built St Patrick’s. It is a great monument to their faith and love of Christ’s Church.
Today is #RemembranceSunday . We pray for all those souls lost through war and conflict, remembering especially our own family, and the family of this parish, lost to the great wars. We thank God for their sacrifice. May they rest in peace and rise in glory. Amen.
Livestream Rosary this evening at the earlier time of 7.15pm, so that those in church can pray in person after the evening Mass. Please join in if you can. Either way, you and your intentions will be held in prayer before Our Blessed Mother.

The doors of the Lord’s house are open once again. Individual prayer only at this stage, but very glad that St Patrick’s can be a place of welcome again for all.
Today is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The heart of Jesus is opened to us, with all its treasures of love, mercy and grace. We are invited to shelter in the Sacred Heart by offering our own hearts to him who burns with love for us.

Today is the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, better known as Corpus Christi, celebrating the gift Christ makes of himself to us in the Eucharist. In previous years we’ve held a procession with the Blessed Sacrament. Mass at 10am.

This week's announcements by the PM that some indoor sales premises can open Monday and most shops on 15 June, questions directly the reasons why our churches remain closed. It is now time to move to the phased opening of our churches.

Thank you to the many dedicated and generous parishioners who help to prepare the church so beautifully, working with the constraints of lockdown. Beautiful flowers and fantastic new, red tabernacle veils and lectern fall. We are ready for #Pentecost. Come, Holy Spirit.
