STORY | Unemployed 'youngsters like cockroaches' become media, activists; attack system: CJI

Likening some unemployed youngsters to cockroaches, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant on Friday said they go on to "become" media, social media and RTI activists and start attacking the system.

The comments came while a bench of CJI Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi was pulling up a lawyer for "pursuing" a senior advocate designation. It said there were already "parasites" in society who attack the system and asked the petitioner whether he wanted to join hands with them.

"The entire world may be eligible to become senior (advocate), but at least you are not entitled," the bench told the petitioner's lawyer.

A visibly anguished CJI observed that if the Delhi High Court were to confer senior advocate designation upon the petitioner, the apex court would set that aside, seeing his professional conduct.

The CJI also referred to the kind of language used by the petitioner on Facebook.

Panic spread in the Nandesari area of Vadodara city early this morning when the SMC team took action against illegal liquor trade. Our former Army Chief Gen. Naravane wrote in his own memoir that soldiers were sent without firearms to the Galwan patrol point where 20 of them died. Political leadership knew about Chinese intrusions weeks before. Did nothing. 20 coffins came home. Modi held a rally 3 days later.

Manipur burned for 3 years. 260 dead. 60,000 displaced. Modi never visited. Not once. Presidential Rule was imposed in 2026; a full 3 years after ethnic cleansing began inside India’s own borders.

This is the man you’re crediting for India’s safety.

The missiles Pakistan fired didn’t break India. You know what’s quietly breaking India? A PM who goes silent after every crisis, never faces a single press conference, sends soldiers to die with political handcuffs on, and then appears on stage with a 56-inch chest to claim the credit his soldiers earned in blood.

India is safe because of its soldiers, its scientists, and its institutions; built over 75 years.

Modi didn’t build the S-400. He didn’t train the IAF pilot. He didn’t write the Army’s counter-terror doctrine.

He just showed up for the photo op.
