@strawbxby It’s super weird though.. like before Covid it was definitely seen as gross to actively spit and cough and sneeze into the air. Having no shame in doing that stuff is a strange trait to have. I’ve always been conscious about not trying to get other people sick when I am.
@strawbxby One of the funniest things about those ppl is they see themselves as intimidating and tough & on the rare occasion they make some mask comment in person I love confronting them & watching them deny saying anything and back off. They get all their ideas from retweeted bot accounts
@strawbxby@EdoajoEric Right? It’s disgusting. I feel like since Covid the weirdo people made it their “god given right” to cough into the air around people instead of covering their mouth. Was not normalized like 7 years ago. I see my 80 something year old grandparents regularly.
We’re struggling right now.
We’ve gone back and forth about whether to share this. Asking for help never gets easier, and we’ve always tried to focus on the animals rather than the challenges happening behind the scenes.
But the truth is that right now, Life With Pigs owes more than $24,000 on our credit cards alone, and we’re feeling the weight of it.
That debt isn’t from anything out of the ordinary. It isn’t from unnecessary purchases. It’s the result of saying yes when animals needed us.
It’s veterinary bills. Medications. Diagnostics. Emergency appointments. Feed deliveries. Hay. Repairs. Building projects that couldn’t wait. The daily expenses that come with caring for so many animals who depend on us for everything.
Over the years, we’ve learned that emergencies don’t arrive one at a time. They stack up. And we’ve had one thing after the other lately.
An animal gets sick while another needs surgery. A roof starts leaking while feed prices rise. The summer heat becomes dangerous, and suddenly you’re scrambling to make sure vulnerable animals have the cooling they need to stay safe.
This past year has felt like one challenge after another.
We’ve been working to build a new barn that will provide safer shelter for the animals. We’ve faced mounting medical expenses. We’ve repaired and improved our hay barn that was no longer optional to fix. And through it all, we’ve continued doing what we’ve always done: putting the animals first.
Just this week, we said goodbye to Odin.
Like so many of the animals who have come through our lives, he reminded us that love often asks more of us than we think we can give. We would do it all again for him. We would do it all again for every animal who has needed a chance.
But that doesn’t change the reality that we’re struggling financially.
Often after the animals are sleeping and the work is finally done, we sit down and wonder how we’re going to make everything work. We worry about the bills. We worry about the debt. We worry about the next emergency that we know will eventually come.
And yet every morning, the animals still need breakfast, care, and love.
They still need medications, clean stalls, veterinary care, cooling systems, shelter, and people willing to show up for them.
So we do. And we always will.
We’re not sharing this because we’re giving up.
We’re sharing it because this sanctuary has never been built by just two people.
Every life we’ve saved, every animal who found safety here, every happy ending we’ve celebrated together happened because of a community of people who cared enough to help.
If you’ve ever smiled at Jenna, laughed at Charlotte, worried about Quincy, celebrated Huck, cried with us over Odin, or simply believed that these animals deserve a safe place to call home, we’re asking for your help.
If you’re able to donate, it would mean the world to us.
If you can’t donate, sharing this post helps more than you know.
And if you’ve supported us before, please know that every single act of kindness has helped keep this sanctuary going.
We’re exhausted and grieving.
And yes, we’re scared. So many depend on us to pull off miracles.
But we’re still here. And as long as we can, we’ll keep fighting for the animals who depend on us.
Thank you for standing with us.

@RippinandSippin@Target The target online drops were good for the first like 3-4 months of the year. I dunno what happened. It’s like they fixed something then it got worse.
@ethancoherd@PokemonDealsTCG Yeah target has to figure out whatever broke recently. This one was especially bad. My cart wouldn’t show checkout at all on app, and on site wouldn’t allow clicking checkout.. then it’s magically fixed when stuff is oos. Target was nice earlier this year for a bit
@PokemonDealsTCG I was able to get all 3. Thanks a bunch. I was doubting all the people saying stuff was gonna drop today, especially when it hit noon on the east coast. So your notification saved me. Much appreciated.
@davidsupercat@RomeoRommiePomp I’m so sorry. It isn’t fair. I wish we could give some of our life to our babies. I’m glad to have been able to know him through your handsome pictures of him every day. That kind of heartbreak really is the worst feeling in the world. Take care of yourself for your other babies.
@Chiraq773@SomaKazima2 Also the one nearest me employees told me they are instructed to call the cops when people are glitching it. Taking license plates too. So if you’re using bots to get stuff online why’s it worth it to you risking it at a vending machine?
@Chiraq773@SomaKazima2 I mean, if someone is standing 10 feet from a machine I go up and buy something anyway. Like you said “everyone has access to it” there’s no owner of a vending machine and no line if there’s no product up and someone isn’t actively using it. Not to mention the “no loitering”
@Chiraq773@SomaKazima2 You can read the laws about it instead of hearing it from me, or just google if it’s legal for you to glitch it. (It isn’t).. or even search if anyone has been charged doing it.
@Chiraq773@SomaKazima2 If you’re glitching it then it’s tampering with it. Good luck buying it all if you aren’t glitching it or loitering telling other people they aren’t allowed to use it. If everyone has access to the machine that means they have access to it same as you.
@Chiraq773@SomaKazima2 It’s definitely illegal to tamper with software on a digital vending machine state and federal level. Even if you’re paying, doesn’t make it legal. Vandalism, criminal mischief, computer tampering, etc.
@pghvcufan@DogPoolLover@BurrowBeliever You just asked what has been done. He is among some big names in that all time passing yards list. And that’s with a lot of seasons as a backup seeing limited playing time. It’s an argument to say it wouldn’t be crazy if he gets a few thousand more yards.
