Thinning of cirrus is allowing more heating at the surface west of San Antonio, and showers are beginning to develop. These may strengthen some over the coming 1-2 hours.

@ChikageWeather Great job on your coverage the other night, especially as storms spanned WFOs.Calm, yet concerned. Particularly impressed with how long CBS Austin stayed with the cut-in, even when storms were in the boonies. Always someone at risk somewhere.

@NWSSanAntonio "...It was so wild, it actually got my weather stripping tore up a bit and since it was basically raining sideways, it came in the house. But I don't see any evidence of like a tornado or anything, other that it blew out a bunch of my soffet. Those winds were just HEAVY HARD."

@NWSSanAntonio with more detail, would this be a useful storm report to the NWS from Thursday night? If so I can get exact T/L, maybe photos. Friend in Sutherland Springs/La Vernia area reported doors blown in, damage to soffet, weather stripping from straight-line winds.
