I83 NB at MM2 remains closed. Traffic begin bypassing a major accident scene at midnight by passing through the rest stop. There was a multi-vehicle accident including a tractor trailer.

E Forrest Ave in Shrewsbury is blocked by pole/wires down on roadway at the Coach Light Restaurant (E Forrest and Mt Airy). STA61 fire police and Utility 61 responding.

I-83 SB mile 5, MVA with rollover. Initially all lanes blocked, now one lane is open. Expect some delays.

UPDATE *** Traffic is moving northbound again on I83 at mm4. The right lane remains closed but traffic is getting by as final cleanup is completed from the accident earlier today.

All lanes are open I-83 northbound at mm 4 in PA. Much thanks to responders and maintenance employees who labored 12.5 hours to save lives, protect property and restore the highway to operation.

They have removed the trailer from NB I83, hoping the highway can open soon.

I83 NB at exit 4 remains closed. All traffic must get off at exit for but can return to the highway by going straight to the NB on ramp.

Interstate I83 remains closed at exit4 at this hour. All traffic must exit and then go up the NB on ramp to re-enter the highway. Hoping to see traffic movig normally very soon.

CORRECTION-SB traffic is at a standstill I-83 SB, NB traffic was reported slow but now moving. I83 is closed in MD at x36.
