UNHCR released their annual report this week showing that the number of displaced peoples increased from over 70 million in 2019 to over 79,500,000 displaced in 2020. Growth in displacement is far outstripping any solutions.

Exceptionally helpful. I would also encourage the additional value of collaboration in the overhaul. Not only can partnering help in the elimination of corruption, but also in the reduction of duplication which leads to greater effectiveness.
In cultures that have bred distrust for centuries, it is easier said than done and Mr. Behaj offers little in pratical steps. In addition, for him to say "the region has under-performed for years, if not decades, in the transparency department," is the understatement of the year.
