@ModernDayInves lol I hate DIS- I bought a big paprika after covid and loving life on the climb up and didn’t take gains and got back to 0 and maybe even sold at a bit of a loss. Awful…
@YodaStockInvest GREAT QUESTION.
Forever.
Literally.
I HAVE sold to realize gains but literally only to buy a house or cars in cash. I also round tripped a couple stocks lol but they weren’t huge positions.
Buy.
Hold.
Sell for a reason beyond taking gains.
@MapleLeafWealth Hmm… great question. I’m up on everything except HIMS but that’s bc I’m wheeling for cash flow and have made more than I’m in the red. And HIMS will hit $100 then $200 in the next several years so I don’t care about getting assigned. Puts at 26 & 18 10 DTE… let’s see!
@DividendDrip Amen- I LOVE crashes & always have 15% cash to dumpster dive but right now sitting on 75%. No central ball but I’ll be ready to buy on sale & have conviction my picks will recover fast bc they’re solid firms. Aside from a fluke put lotto on NVDA, crashes is where I made my money.
@MsVeilMoney Eh, I’m risk averse. I only buy low and sell high. I rarely buy but when I buy, I know I’m coming out of a bottom or buying on sale. At these prices, no one can say the stock won’t drop further. But I bought all just months or years ago and deep discounts.
Wait.
It’s worth it.
@SCHDaccumulator A lot. A. Lot. Waiting for choppiness and a pull back and possibly a “correction.”
Looking to add to $VOO and some small cap stocks aggressively after the pull back is complete and we see general support. Could be weeks, could be months. No one knows. Me included.
@skumWgmi 1. You’re right that life is just too expensive now.
2. You move farther out or live smaller: rent now $1750.
3. Ditch the car note and get a bearer or a bus pass. Save another 650 in car note and insurance.
Now start by saving 10 percent and living off 90%.
@IndexAndForget Adjusted- $475 avg cost pre split in ‘23 I think… I thought it was way too expensive but then I saw Nancy Pelosi bought calls so I took a strong position hoping it’d push past $500 (or $50 split adjusted)… suffice it to say it did much better… 🤷🏻♂️
