FTN's NBA charting has allowed us to introduce some new stats into the nerd-sphere centered around the idea of Expected Points.
You can read about that here:

No receiver gained more yards over expectation than Pickens last season, per our charting data.
He gained over two yards more than expected per catch and blew out the rest of the receivers in that metric.
(fun stuff coming to FTN soon)
he's made over $100M in his career and is spending whatever time he has left in life doing this
i would have disappeared to my own island and no one would ever find me
@mrberrydingler Not saying you're wrong, but why not? I think it's become more accepted that windows thrown into is generally more important than the throwing skills given enough arm strength. The gap in expected completion percentage is ~10% best to worst with throwing skill layered on here.
Primarily we're trying to build more fun stuff for FTN data and subscribers. Alternatively, it seems like the other models are pretty unreasonable. For example, Drake Maye being +9% last year seems a bit out of bounds.
Our model attempts to look at the conditions that we chart when the quarterback releases the ball. It looks like a more reasonable result so far.
