Jan 15, 1964 the legendary #WhiskyaGoGo opened w/a concert by #JohnnyRivers who started a residency there & immediately drew crowds to the new venue. He recorded a live album-Johnny Rivers at the Whisky a Go Go-the 1st of 5. It hit #12 on the Billboard Top 200 & went gold.

Today - January 11th - in 1969, Glen Campbell's recording of "Wichita Lineman", the single, hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its 8th week in the Top 10.
It had reached #1 on the Country Chart on December 28th, 1968.
