Canadian authorities have disrupted four “violent extremist attack plots against Jewish targets” since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict, says an intelligence report obtained by Global.

The report said that each of the plots was inspired by the Islamic State, while a fifth involved the “disruption of a Canadian who traveled to Israel.”

Ahmad Hajahmad (Jarrar) has been charged with a terrorism offence, specifically participating in or contributing to the activities of a terrorist group.

A joint investigation by the Toronto Police Service Hate Crime Unit and RCMP INSET alleges that Jarrar acted for the benefit of, and in association with, Hamas, a designated terrorist group.

Jarrar has been a regular organizer within Toronto’s Palestine protest circuit and has often liaised with police to facilitate demonstrations.

Jarrar was granted bail.
