Two truths:

1. players today are more skilled than ever which should be insanely fun to watch, and it often is

2. the rules and parameters of the game have changed over time which has led to valid criticisms and loss of interest

To say “old heads just mad cuz players are more talented” is such a shallow and stupid thing to say. Like yeah, lifelong NBA fans actually just wanna watch less skilled players play worse games, and hate having to watch more skilled players. Or, in other words, they actually want to watch a worse show rather than a better show. You see how dumb this is?

When your product has arguably the best talent it’s ever had, but you’re not getting the eyeballs you want, then something else is likely wrong with the product.
