I voted for a high school kid to run this country in 2024.

Thomas Massie votes against a bill? "Worst Republican in history." "Disloyal." "Sanctimonious fool." "May we never have to deal with him again."

Lauren Boebert campaigns for the wrong person? "Weak minded." "Dumb." "Carpetbagger." "Deserves a good primary fight."

This is the President of the United States.

Publicly trashing members of his own party because they didn't fall in line.

Not debating their positions. Not explaining why they're wrong. Not making a case.

Name calling.

On social media.

Like a teenager who got left out of the group chat.

"He's disloyal." "She's weak minded." "Vote them out."

That's not leadership. That's a popularity contest at a lunch table.

You disagree with the boss and instead of a conversation you get publicly humiliated and threatened with a primary challenger.

That's not how a president handles disagreement.

That's how a bully handles it.

Massie voted no on something he believed was wrong. That's literally his job. That's what Americans elected him to do. Think for himself and represent his district.

But in this version of the Republican Party, thinking for yourself gets you a public hit piece from the leader of the free world.

And the base cheers for it.

...the democrats really screwed themselves. Virginia's districts are going to remain the same, while the deep south eliminates all/most of their dem districts.

So, Virginia's horribly gerrymandered map got struck down by the state supreme court.

Apparently it violated basic procedures when it came to putting the measure on the ballot.

I think it was a huge mistake on the democrats to push through such an aggregious map...

...Because the amendment was voted on, and passed, a lot of red states responded by gerrymandering even harder in an attempt to cancel out the -4 GOP seats.

And now that the map got struck down, and it seems unlikely that they'll be able to get anything going before midterms...

Such taxes goes against the basic principles in which this country has been founded upon.

To reiterate, the industry is evil. It shouldn't exist, and in a perfect world it wouldn't.

However, we don't live in that world. And it would not be your place to dictate morals

I agree our body is a temple not to be bought and sold online. I agree its a sin, and honestly a terrible industry that many young women enter, and regret years after.

HOWEVER, its not the place of the government to dictate morals. Only to defend the constitution.
