Work has started on the 29th and 30th Two-Way Conversion project. This $13.9 million investment will improve safety, mobility, and connectivity on 29th Street from White River to Central Avenue and 30th Street from White River to Meridian Street.

Inspection of the Southwest Connector Trail in Shelbyville. This 2-mile, 10-foot wide shared use path expands the outer trail loop around the city, connecting to an elementary school, the middle school, high school, and aquatic center, as well as residential neighborhoods.

This is an excellent project to help improve central Indianapolis to make it less of a place people speed through to a place to live and spend time, a destination. Can't wait for it to happen on more streets, especially downtown.

Several major downtown thoroughfares will be converted from one-way to two-way streets over the next couple years, re-establishing a sense of place in neighborhoods that have been divided by busy thoroughfares. #PedestrianSafetyMonth
