I have high hopes for Modern Warfare 4.

The biggest thing for me is absolutely the fact that Infinity Ward has dropped last-gen consoles. It’s absurd that it took 6 years for us to get a Call of Duty game that’s not held back by 13-year-old hardware.

No online requirement for the campaign is a great step in the right direction too. I can sense a great narrative on the cards. I didn’t play Black Ops 7 despite rather enjoying BO6 purely because everything was so uninteresting. That’s not the case here.

As always it’s important to remain cautiously optimistic. However, today’s reveal was a huge win in my opinion. Visually it looked gorgeous (thanks to it being a current-gen exclusive) and the tone seems solid.
