Dear frends,
With great pleasure I announce the release of my debut novel, 'The Fire and the Sea', an epic of adventure and tragedy set during the occupation of the city of Fiume by the rebel forces of Gabriele D'Annunzio.

"Silence... is not merely a cessation of sound, a pause between words, but an attitude of openness, receptivity, of attentive waiting upon God. It is not isolation but relationship, not emptiness but fullness, not an absence but a presence: at the core of it is God."
Three stages of the spiritual journey.
1) Praktiki, which involves repentance, metanoia, and change of mind.
2) Physiki, which involves contemplation, starting with the natural world.
3) Theologia, which represents knowledge of God beyond all concepts and images.

"Pagan themes dominate Sigismondo’s culture and imagined life from the revival of the ancient paideia, the Greek athletic ideal, and Sigismondo’s Spartan upbringing to his sexual exploits and the astrological heights of his search for immortality..."
At a meeting with migrants and the organisations that rescue and accompany them in Gran Canaria, Pope Leo urged the world not to grow indifferent to their suffering and called for legal and safe migration pathways, denounced human trafficking and exploitation, and insisted that “human dignity has no passport and does not lose its value when crossing a border.”
Biblical anthropology. Human being as a psychosomatic totality, an undivided unity. No head/heart dichotomy. The ♥️ is the primary center of the total person. Arena in which we come face to face with the power of sin but also with the Divine. "The heart is deep" (Psalm 64:6).
"Summarizing the Macarian teaching, we may say that the heart is open both below and above: below, to the abyss of the subconscious; above, to the abyss of the mystical supraconscious—below, to the forces of evil; above, to the Divine Light."
"The intellect, the visionary faculty whereby we apprehend the Transcendent, is located within the ♥️. When we pray, our aim is to collect our intellect, outwardly dispersed through the senses, and bring it back within ourselves—back to the ♥️ itself, the shrine of the thoughts."
