When Quentin Tarantino visited Viareggio, Italy in 1992 for the screening of "Reservoir Dogs" (1992) at the Noir in Festival, he had the opportunity to meet Michele Soavi, who was one of the filmmakers he admired. When Tarantino saw Soavi, he literally fell to his knees in adoration of the filmmaker.

"StageFright" (1987) which is about a cast & crew trapped inside a theater with a murderous psychopath while rehearsing for an upcoming play is one of Tarantino's favourite movies of all time.
