But, governments are addicted to printing money and deficit spending which causes runaway inflation making assets unaffordable

There was a divergence in every conceivable metric the moment the US went off the gold standard. The gold standard is what stopped endless currency devaluation.

If you actually want everyone to have a job that pays a livable wage then you should try and hold your government accountable for massive deficits, money printing and advocate for the returning of the gold standard
