I’m deleting this app for the next 90 days, or longer, and I’ll tell you why:

Short answer is that my children and future grand children need me. My voice on this platform is not indispensable.

Longer answer: God has had my family on a journey with many unexpected turns. It began when I lost my teaching job last summer after reading verbatim from To Kill a Mockingbird. From there I had to find a new way to earn money and I went into running my own business alongside my brother. Instead of finding another steady paycheck, we took a risk and it was a fantastic decision. I can honestly say I am happier than I was when I was teaching. Although I miss my students, it’s provided my family with new flexibility I never knew was possible.

So why am I deleting X? Well, My family recently received the opportunity of a lifetime. We moved to a new house with lots of land. Homesteading and creating a true family economy has always been a dream of ours. We want to have a home that is not merely a hotel. By God’s grace we have an amazing opportunity to do that to a degree I never thought possible.

I want to squeeze every ounce that I can out of this. Not just for me, but for my posterity. I spend way too many hours scrolling on X and that time is just not profitably redeemed enough to the point that makes it worth it right now.

I am incredibly thankful for X. Without it my story last summer would’ve never reached the amount of people that it did. I would have never received the support, prayers and network that I needed. So thank you!

This is somewhat humbling because I know deep down I DO NOT deserve this chance. It is an immense privilege and gift. My prayer is Christ receive all the glory.

Our plan is to increase our chicken flock, raise some cows for meat and raw milk among other ideas.

I need to be a husband, father and provider to the Glory of God. I’m reminded of this quote from Chesterton.

"The greatest political storm flutters only a fringe of humanity. But an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children literally alter the destiny of nations.”

So, I’m going to be ordinary. I may release a video or two on my YouTube channel from time to time, but other than that, I’m signing off for the foreseeable future.

I just got off a Zoom call with some of the Epstein survivors. The way the DOJ has handled the release of these files is absolutely horrific. Victims' names have been released, they are being retraumatized, and the DOJ is saying they won't investigate further. We need justice for these survivors.
