7 years ago today, our @REAPProject2014 team were working for @FieldsofLife amongst the children of Ishingororo in Uganda. They had no shoes but could name @premierleague players! Just imagine what could be done for them with the average professional footballer’s weekly salary.

Three years ago today we returned to @FieldsofLife Ryamugwizi Primary School in South West Uganda to complete a new staff accommodation block, refurbish our existing classroom block and to work with the kids. Memories that will last for a lifetime. #hope #education

It’s very easy to get really down about this Covid-19 misery but for just one minute, imagine how these wee mites and the children of the Kosovo slums, Kampala, are coping with it all. My heart goes out to them and I give thanks for how truly lucky I am to have been born here.

Together with some members of the National Task Force on#COVID19 Response, we today visited @OPMUganda stores in Namanve to inspect the relief supplies we are providing to people most affected by the lockdown measures . The food is of good quality & fit for consumption.

6 years ago our @REAPProject2014 team spent Palm Sunday with the special people of Ishingororo, Uganda. 3 years ago we did the same. Remembering them and the Ugandan @FieldsofLife staff today as they face the trauma of Covid-19 without the support of heroic #NHS staff.
