@synraimu @KobayashisEgo I was watching TV in early 00s all day. No matter what season, there was maybe 1 anime all day that wasn't atleast "watchable". Everything else was anything between watchable and great. There's great anime now but the amount of unwatchable ones have gone way up.

@KobayashisEgo There was recession back then. So only decent stuff would get funded for animation. Now there's too much money including private equity from overseas. So there's money for mediocre stuff. Plus, you optimise for consistent gains, not customer satisfaction with investors involved.

@kuroppii_ Pre-2023 worlds was dark era. However, I'll maintain that dragonite release is the best patch we had. It also had highest playerbase of all time. Timi nerfing the variety of strats you could pull off is what slowly made the game less enjoyable. Emblem being the worst feature OAT.

@mentalsyndrome To be clear, I meant that including all the IV training,egg moves and normal moves. Also since TMs expired, you also had to breed TMs to pass them on at times. "It just takes a few hours to make your competitive team" Argument didn't apply for majority of VGC life.

@mentalsyndrome Back in gen 3, idk if better methods existed. But you could only catch 1 IV-maxed pokemon in the wild and it was super rare. So getting a perfect pokemon meant finding 6 rares in different stats then breeding them until maxing out. Took me a month to make 1 perfect pokemon.

@dietona007 The teams that used alt account for scrims to hide info already had options. Regardless, I agree. Now even teams that practiced on main accounts are out of reach. This move really messes with draft strategy.
