Super excited to have @WhickTv on the Pragmatic Perspective tomorrow (10/23) at 12:00 pm EST/6pm CET. Time to hear his origin story as well as his views on the future of liberalism and online politics.

Burnham has been planning for an election since entering office, that's why he's discussing possibly rejoining the EU. These are election issues.
At least that has been opinion. An election could be framed as both an election and referendum on EU membership.
My takeaways:
1) Burnham should go for snap election, he won’t see numbers so good again.
2) Badenoch’s revived the rotting Tory carcass.
3) Reform, as I predicted, have been toast since Farage £5m bung scandal.
4) Ditto the Greens under Weirdo Polanski.
Our guys are taking down Shaheds for like 2 hours non-stop.
Just a barrage of shit flying at us.
Endless sounds of shooting and these death machines flying.
Here are the notifications for last hour.
Just to illustrate what a night is like in the East of Ukraine.
In an interview on The Diary of a CEO with @StevenBartlett, @ZelenskyyUa shared that despite his demanding schedule and presidential responsibilities, he always makes time to speak with his mother every day.
She sometimes calls him 12 times in a row, worries about him, asks about the children, and wants to know when the war will finally end.
“Mom, we’re doing everything we can,” the president replies.
Spending a year on the Kostiantynivka axis of the frontline Journalist @DylanBurns1776's latest film shows how the war has fundamentally changed and how the infantry has been forced to adapt and go through extreme conditions as the rise of drones has come to dominate the sky.
Editor-in-chief/lead reporter @DevinSanLuis having helped film sections of the film, and now sits down to hear from Dylan about his latest work.
@mouthbleeder@hutchinson The difference between me and you isn't that I blame Hamas and you blame Israel, it's that I accept that both sides have played a major role and you excuse Hama's behaviour.
This is a critical distinction and given how Starlink terminals have been used it is clear that Ukraine has been using Starshield for their drone use, not Starlink.
Musk would have known this, he's thus clearly lying.
Drones fly at speeds of 120 kilometers per hour or more. Starlink stopped working in Ukraine at speeds of 60–70 km/h.
Anything moving faster than that requires Starshield. All UAVs require it.
@Rimbau_delaire Gorbachev himself explains that this was a misunderstanding.
I've also spent a lot of time in former soviet countries discussing politics, and gaining an understanding of the views of the people that live there.

I can't recommend this interview enough. Highlighting the viscous crimes of Russia has never been more important given the utter mistreatment of Ukraine and Zelenskyy by Trump.
Not only Ukraine but the European community as a whole is lucky to have Zelenskyy as a leader.
Certainly one of @StevenBartlett's most impactful interviews.
What do you say to your family when you don’t know if you’ll ever see them again?
In February 2022, he told his wife and children the war had begun. Then he left as Russian forces advanced towards Kyiv, unsure what the coming hours would bring.
This is President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Before politics, he built a successful career in Ukrainian television as a writer, producer and performer, even portraying a president on screen. In 2019, he was elected President of Ukraine. Three years later, Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
Sitting down with him was surreal and an enormous responsibility. It was a rare chance to hear his account of the first hours of the war and the decisions that followed.
We discussed things like:
How he found out Russia had invaded.
Why he refused an offer to evacuate Kyiv.
The 64km Russian military convoy advancing towards the capital.
How Russian forces tried to capture a key airport.
His account of discovering hundreds of bodies after Russian occupation.
What he believes it will take to end the war.
But I also wanted to understand how he’d been coping.
One of my first questions was simply, “How are you doing?” His answer was: “It’s hard.”
He spoke about meeting parents whose children had been killed. Some, he explained, simply ask him for a hug.
And as he spoke, there were tears in his eyes.
Whatever your views on the war or the decisions made by those involved, this is a rare opportunity to hear his account of events that have changed millions of lives.
Because behind every map, every headline and every political decision, there are real people.
Out now on all platforms ❤️👊🏾
(President Zelenskyy was recorded in Ukrainian and dubbed in English.)
I'm a domestic abuse survivor. This is so inspiring to me. Amy Acton is a person who has chosen to carry her pain into action. I can tell she doesn't just want to help people, she wants to fight for them. I hope she becomes the next governor of Ohio.
"I miss them constantly. And it feels like that even when they're right next to me."
Asked what his wife would say about how he has changed, President Zelenskyy says: "She'd definitely say I've changed a lot." He adds: "In a war you fight and you're lonely."
He describes "this habit of doing work and focusing exclusively on work," and says: "I chose my own path. And of course, I didn't choose the war, but I chose this path."
