Grateful for your gracious presence and support, @sonialiberal. Gurudev cherishes Canada’s spirit of unity and service. May this partnership continue to bring peace and wellness to communities across the country. 🙏
Nothing in this world can truly bring wholeness except the presence of an enlightened Guru, a master such as Pujya @Gurudev ji. The instant a seeker finds their Guru, life even amidst countless trials begins to rise toward a higher purpose. What may appear to others as mere struggles, a seeker recognizes as the cleansing of karmas accumulated over lifetimes. For me, even in losing everything, the abiding grace of my Guru means I still possess all. And conversely, even if one were to gain everything, it pales in comparison to the emptiness of life without the Guru.
मुक्ति ही जीवन का सार | @Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Q: Gurudev, What can I do to be more close to you and to spend more time with you?
@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - Well, take up some good project, do some work, then you will have more chance to interact with me and talk to me.
You can’t get any more closer to me because you are already close to me. From your side you should always think that you are close to me, that’s it. Don’t expect me to look at you and smile at you and say, "Hi, how are you doing?" and all that.
And if I say, "Hi", to someone next to you, then don’t get upset saying that 'Gurudev looked at him and smiled but he didn’t even look at me’. Leave all this, this is nothing, okay. Don’t look for these sorts of gestures that I may be doing to someone else. That doesn’t in anyway indicate any closeness.
Question - Gurudev, Was man created in the image of God or God created by man’s image?
@Gurudev Sri Sri - Well, I think it is both. God created man in his own image and man started creating God in his own image. There is nothing wrong. There is a term called ‘co-creation’.
Man has created God, it is not a crime. Many times we think that man created God, that means he doesn’t exist, this is not so. All the art forms, sculptures, imaginations, philosophy and even science, has all sprung up from man’s mind.
What do you mean by God? God is a principle, an energy which is creative, transformative. God is the generator, operator and destroyer. Doesn’t man do all these three things? Does he not generate, operate and destroy? So, where is the difference?
You think that God is something different from you; sitting somewhere up in the heaven to give you a little finger and when you try and catch Him, he runs away. This concept of God is what is troubling, and this is the concept that gave rise to communism and atheism. Or (the other concept is that) you think that God is in only one shape and one form. No! You can adore Him or Her in any shape and any form. God is the summum bonum of creation, the basic existence of all that is! It is the basis of all existence, in fact it is the existence itself.

Leading Light on @News18India | A Guru's Job Is to Confuse You | By @Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Gurudev shares, "Now here is the secret. A good teacher does not convince you; a good teacher confuses you. Every time you become confused, an old concept collapses, making way for a new one. That remains for a while, and then you are confused again. “Not this, but something else". Every time that happens, you open yourself to growth.'

S. Janaki was a rare combination of classical training and playback singing. She entertained people across the South Indian states in 20 languages, while her renditions also kindled deep devotion in the hearts of millions. Popularly known as the “Nightingale of South India,” she was deeply spiritual and committed to her art.
@Gurudev Sri Sri on Annamayya,"Annamacharya was a saint near Tirupathi in Andhra Pradesh. He was a devotee of Tirupathi Balaji. He has written many such beautiful songs in simple language with a lot of philosophy imbibed in it. He wrote about rising above caste, creed and seeing oneness of mankind. He wrote about the presence of God in everyone’s heart and that there is only one divinity!
Today, Buddha Purnima, marks the birthday of both Buddha and Annamacharya who have left such a permanent mark on planet for centuries to come, for people to remember the glory of divinity. Buddha never spoke about God, because in those days there were intellectual scholars that were so well read that they thought they knew it all. There is no point in talking to someone when they think they know it all, because they are fixed in their mindset.
I remember 45 years ago, in the beginning of @ArtofLiving, a scholar came. He knew all the Yoga Sutras, by heart. He had studied it for so long. But unfortunately he didn't know what meditation is. He had read about meditation but had no experience of it. I just watched him. He was so restless; with such restlessness how is meditation possible? So when he did his first meditation he said, “Oh my God! I have just been blabbering all these years". Just imagine someone who has never tasted a dosa, never even seen a dosa, but read about it and gave lecture on it all his life. That was his state. He immediately said, "Whatever I have studied is nothing. I know nothing".
So life is to lead u to the unknown, and in every step whatever little u begin to know, if u realise unknown has increased, not the known then u are on the right path. Unknown is what is called Para Brahman (The eternal absolute truth which is the source of everything). In Hindi, it is said, "Knowing which u become that", (when u realize God u become God). That is Para Brahman, that is God. That is what we are. "Pothi pad pad jag mua pandit bhaya na koe, dhai akshar prem ke jo padhe so pandit hoye".(Famous doha of Saint Kabir which means, reading books everyone died, none became any wiser. One who reads the word of love, only becomes wise). Just One syllable of OM is enough.
