Prov. Govt's are pushing for drastic increases in nursing school admissions to remedy the nursing shortage. New gradauate nurses have the highest rates of attrition in the profession. Adding more nurses won't fix the toxic work environments that drive them out of the profession.

It's hard to go through this labour day without remembering the nurses who died from covid 19. Limited personal protective equipment and lack of paid sick days were contributing factors. Nurses are still enduring poor working conditions despite the sacrifices and inequitable pay.
