@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 LSU didn’t sign the contract but the players did! If LSU steps in and pays a buyout on behalf of the player without it coming from Rev Share then it’s an impermissible benefit. This isn’t like a coaches buyout. These players will be the example of what not to do.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 LSU didn’t sign the contract. The players did and they are responsible. LSU can’t pay Ole Miss without it coming from Rev Share bc it would be money on behalf of the player. They can pay player NIL and player pay Ole Miss though.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 If LSU straight pays the buyout it would have to come from LSU Rev Share. ALL money to players is tracked. Schools have set amount of Rev Share and NIL has to be approved by NCAA. 2 buckets to pay from and only one goes from LSU to Ole Miss. NIL would be to player & they pay OM
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 So your logic is that LSU can’t pay a million dollars to Ole Miss, on behalf of 2 players that signed contracts, and it doesn’t have to come out of Rev Share? They can just pay buyouts for players and that is the only money not tracked by NCAA? You can’t be helped
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 Have some common sense. LSU can’t just pay a million dollars to Ole Miss on behalf of the players without it coming from Rev Share. That is illegal. Now they can give extra NIL to offset the money and that will not come from Rev Share and payment will come from player
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 4) LSU could offset the buyout with more NIL to players that hasn’t come through yet. Hasn’t cleared clearinghouse. 5) if you think the players transferred to LSU without taking about the buyout or having a plan for LSU to cover the difference in some way then I have no words.
@cjogara Ole Miss is bringing Trinidad, Lacy and Echoles. 3 players Kiffin tried REALLY hard to get and all turned him down. Funny bc none ever hit the portal yet this is common knowledge. Hmmm, must be a shot at Kiffin! 🤦🏻♂️
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 So, as you can see. LSU isn’t paying bc they lose that Rev Share to Ole Miss! Can’t just write a check you moron! Learn to read instead of believing LSU homers! https://t.co/N1EfQ9gcvb
Under current NCAA rules, player contract buyouts paid by a school count against the school’s rev-share cap.
We’d see fewer disputes over buyouts being paid if that wasn’t the case or if the cap hit was smaller.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 I’m not the idiot. You keep saying the same moronic statement. You can only give out roughly 20 million before everything else has to pass through NCAA. When ur roster is 50 million then you have a lot of work ahead of you. Hard to spare a million that you can just give players.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 Ole Miss pays all its players and has a great rep for doing so. I think it’s hilarious that this buyout hasn’t been taken care of by “LSU players”. Again, it’s not about having the money but instead about getting the money to the players. It’s not that easy.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 All schools, roughly, have equal Rev Share. You can pay that directly to recruits with no strings. NIL is used to pay the rest but it must be approved through ncaa. You have to work for it. It has to be market value. Nike isn’t going to subsidize 40 LSU football players.
@TylerWilson86@_pgpulse_@On3 It’s not about writing a check. It’s about balancing Rev Share that you can just write a check to a player vs NIL that has to go through clearing house. I believe the buyout to Ole Miss has to come from LSU Rev Share. I k is they can’t just write a check to I’m for the recruits.
@_pgpulse_@TylerWilson86@On3 LSU made a lot of promises. It’s not as simple as just paying the money for the recruits. You can’t give them a million dollars! They have a limited Rev Share and NIL has to be approved through NCAA. They are 100% struggling to get the money promised to the recruits.
@TylerWilson86@_pgpulse_@On3 If both players knew they would pay Ole Miss 400k to 600k each then neither would have left for LSU. They were told it would be taken care of and LSU is struggling to live up to the promises made. How could any player trust LSU if they allow players to get stuck with the bill!
@_pgpulse_@On3 He did not. He signed financial aid agreement but no Rev Share. Clemson messed up and with just a little research you can find many sources confirming. LSU doesn’t have to pay but if they promised those players they wouldn’t have to and the players get sued and have to pay? Haha
@_pgpulse_@On3 Luke didn’t sign a Rev Share agreement. You can claim tampering for sure but it’s amazing how Dabo has stopped talking about Ole Miss. It’s almost like Clemson text Luke while he was at Cal before he was in the portal. Would Luke have those text? Hmmm
LSU will pay the buyout.
@AYSSPORTS What’s more plausible. That Kiffin is telling the truth or that Kiffin is lying? The article itself has a blatant lie about being run off the road that was refuted by the MS Hwy Patrol. So this statement is true when the other is 100% lie?
@ESPNBooger Bc he tells lies to forward his own agenda. He uses people like you to simp for him. Fans who pretend to be media but cover his ass while kissing it at the same time. Where did the “tigers” name come from? Glad Ole Miss could desegregate 2 years before LSU and lead the way.
@KendallRogers Not a home game. Was a neutral site in Pearl at TrustMark Park. Ole Miss team would be good if only they had those preseason rankings to match the actual product on the field.
