Last weekend, the Orlando Cepeda Academy kicked off a new era w/ opening day at the Balboa Park baseball fields. A ceremony celebrated the first game day under the academy’s new name, honoring Giants legend & Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda, a longtime advocate for youth in SF.
Established through a partnership between the @giantscommunity & Rec & Park, the academy provides free, competitive baseball & softball opportunities for middle & high school-aged youth in SF’s under-resourced communities.

Bring the family for Morning Drop-In Playtime at St. Mary's Rec Center (95 Justin Drive), which takes place every Saturday from 9AM-noon. Families can bring bikes, trikes, scooters & striders to enjoy a morning of outdoor play & recreation. The free program is open to all ages.
The 2nd season of Cinema on the Square expands the series to 5 free movie screenings in @UnionSquareSF this summer. It's hosted in partnership w/ @sfoewd, Rec & Park & Biederman Redevelopment Ventures Corporation (BRV), w/ the support of @alamodrafthouse & @BankofAmerica.
