Since I started reading Absolute Batman for me it became the canon. It is much more nuanced and emotional rendition of the character, and I believe this is your absolute best work

That said, it became my favorite show after I’ve seen it three times. It’s not the knock on the series, it just means that you have to be the right age and the right mindset to appreciate the genius of how subtlety beautifully it is written
