If you're heading to the campground, the beach, or a backyard BBQ this spring and summer, don't forget to plan ahead to responsibly and safely recycle those propane and butane cylinders. These cylinders contain flammable gases under pressure.

Many bike retailers province-wide particpate in this free drop-off program, and your tires and tubes can find new life as crumb rubber for bowls and mats used in farms, playground surfaces, arenas, and gym flooring, and landscaping mulch.

Accepted materials often include household cleaning supplies, garden chemicals like fertilizers, mercury, and products not accepted in provincial programs such as due to lack of required labels or being outside of the original packaging.
