BBC News spent Sunday referring to Jim Ratcliffe as one of Britain's richest men, except, he's an immigrant in Monaco, having moved there to avoid paying £4 billion in tax.

They screen him complaining about those on benefits, even though he grew up in a council house, went to state school, had free university education, and has taken hundreds of millions in public state support from the UK, French and German governments.

They screen him talking about broken Britain which is poor, but don't mention that he is a Brexiter, and Brexit has made the country poorer.

Our national broadcaster should have spent the day providing context to his criticisms, instead they wrapped it in a bow, pushed it out, to stoke further division in society.

I remember when the BBC was so much better than this, and I hope one day it will return to having better standards, than to simply churn out divisive nonsense masquerading as news and analysis.

And you call Greenland badly governed?

Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.

So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.

The United States: The land where Michigan Judge Gregory Ross awarded custody to a convicted child rapist named Christopher Mirasolo.

Mirasolo raped and impregnated a 12-year-old child, who was then forced to carry to term. Some 8 years later, Ross awarded Mirasolo joint legal custody. This is the state of women and girls in the USA—where a man can rape and impregnate a child, then the law can force her to have the baby, and then a judge can force her to share joint custody with her rapist.

The people defending this atrocity are the ones telling us we have to invade Iran to liberate its women and given them the same rights as American women. Incredible.

@IncognitoMV My point is this so called 'politician' is deliberately not acknowledging that. He's making it about hiring practices, saying the NHS doesn't rely on immigration (currently it does) and trying to make some sort of US style 'DEI' point which doesn't exist. His argument is invalid.

The cap is there because we can't afford to fund the training of any more than these numbers. So I wonder why isn't anyone advocating for free medical training for students making the grades? 🤔

@TheOracleSaid @RupertLowe10 You clearly aren't aware that there is a cap of 9500 medical school places a year, which is usually oversubscribed fourfold. Therefore 75% of potential British doctors, who have studied hard to get the requisite grades, are prevented from pursuing that career.

And until the cap is lifted by more government spending to fund additional places - maybe stop complaining about needing to hire medical staff we didn't have to pay to train.
