Sadly, YJS's aren't covered by the period products scheme funded by the government

We no longer take donations as our work mainly focused on schools and colleges - so sadly we're unable to help too

This is fantastic to see! Normalising periods in assemblies helps tackle the stigma around menstruation and helps people seek period products when they need them!

This morning, Y9 girls were given free sanitary products to take away-
pads, tampons and period proof knickers ❤️

At CHS, we provide free sanitary products for all girls and we will be visiting assemblies to inform students of the support available 🥰

It would seem, Maya, that you don't fully understand period poverty. We've put together a thread for you.

Our work focused on schools and educational settings - supporting over 5,000 in the UK - and period poverty was, and still is, very much real and 'a thing' in the UK

"Period poverty" is not a thing in the UK (as I have said before, poverty is a thing)
- sanitary products are relatively cheap, and widely accessible.
- employing government /voluntary sector functionaries to distribute such products is wasteful make-work/distraction
